Disable Lenovo System Update Automatic Updating
If you need to disable System Update scheduled updates on a single machine, you can easily do this manually. Open Organization Update and then clickSchedule updates under the "Avant-garde" section. Enabling Scheduled Updates
If you lot want to enable Scheduled updates, there are a few more things you'll need to modify. The settings are in the same key listed above.
These are the available values and options:
- Frequency: WEEKLY or MONTHLY
- NotifyOptions: DOWNLOADANDINSTALL, DOWNLOAD, NOTIFY or DOWNLOADANDINSTALL -INCLUDEREBOOT
- RunAt: Any number from 0 to 23. You can also format the time as HH:MM:SS
- RunOn: If you chose MONTHLY, the values are ane to 28. For WEEKLY use Lord's day, MONDAY, etc.
- SchedulerAbility: YES to enable automated updating
- SchedulerLock: SHOW, HIDE, DISABLE or LOCK
- SearchMode: Critical, RECOMMENDED or ALL

I buy quite a lot of Lenovo products to deploy at piece of work. I always go through their machines with a fine tooth comb before I release. Lenovo makes some dandy machines, but their bloatware and added software is really a pain in the rear. I uninstall all Lenovo products, delete all scheduled tasks, and remove all registry values for their software.
I can't find the options for "scheduled updates".. i clicked on the windows setting and all it has is a "pause update" option. It's truly great to try and assistance people, but it'd be nice if the directions where organized step by footstep for those of us who are not every bit familiar with Lenovo and Windows products.
